Meet Luke & Caty Rinehart
Meet Caty Rinehart.
From a very young age Caty has known that she wanted to draw people closer to one another by engaging in and encouraging others toward healthy life patterns. The ‘how’ of achieving this goal has been materializing over the last 40+ years. Caty earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Exercise and Sports Science in 2000 and actively pursued training in alternative medicine and community counseling for several years to follow. She worked with youth from difficult backgrounds and mental illness from 2001-2006 as a teacher, counselor and career advisor before transitioning into full-time motherhood. Since 2006 Caty has continued her self study of spiritual development, Christian counseling practices and leadership development. She and her husband Luke, a lifetime martial artist with several black belts, have led Personal Growth small group studies at their church and Marriage Development groups in the community at large while also teaching martial arts and nutrition education classes through their family business. As the family grew from one to three children, Caty and Luke made the decision to homeschool their children while continuing to own and operate a Martial Arts and Fitness Academy. After starting WellSpring Coaching Services in 2021 the idea of creating a space for the training of Mind, Body, and Spirit became a reality. In the midst of one dream materializing, another prayer was being answered, and in 2024 we expanded our family through adoption to include the addition of our son.
As a follower of Christ, homeschool mother of four, business owner, martial artist, nutrition/ health enthusiast and certified John Maxwell Team Coach and Enneagram Coach, Caty specializes in helping people of all ages reach their personal potential through understanding who they are, where they want to go, and how to get there. She thrives at helping encourage you to make a gameplan that you can stick to that will help you have victory in your current circumstances and lead you where you want to go. The combination of being a born ‘fixer,’ having overcome childhood trauma, and mothering/educating children daily while running two small businesses have helped her to fine-tune this skill and make it accessible to others.
“While optimism makes us live as if someday soon things will soon go better for us, hope frees us from the need to predict the future and allows us to live in the present, with the deep trust that God will never leave us alone but will fulfill the deepest desires of our heart... Joy in this perspective is the fruit of hope.”

Meet Luke Rinehart.
Luke has been training in martial arts since 1983 and has been a Martial Arts instructor since 1994. While Luke holds several black belts in different martial arts, he is one of only a handful of people to ever become a certified Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) without a BJJ Instructor. Luke is now a 3rd Degree Black Belt in BJJ and has been running a successful Martial Arts Business, since 2000 when he took over his Father’s Martial Arts School, Self-Defense Tactics, Inc.. In 2003, Luke renamed it Clinch Academy and has grown the Academy from a small group of about 30 people to over 300 active clients.
In 2005 Luke and his wife Caty were married. Caty has a background in counseling and has been a great influence for Luke when it comes to effective communication & helping others. Life coaching has always come with the territory in the martial arts business. Unofficially, Luke & Caty have been coaching a multitude of students through life, during all of their years in teaching and running a business. They have also hosted Bible Studies, Marriage Courses & Personal Growth Courses over the years. Leadership training has also played a huge part in their journey as they have had to build a team of instructors and staff in order to keep up with the demands of an ever-growing Martial Arts Academy.
Luke has relied heavily on materials from both John Maxwell & Ken Blanchard in his leadership development. As his interest in leadership training and coaching grew, Luke decided it would be a great idea to supplement his position as a Martial Arts Instructor and Business Owner with an official Coaching Certification.
Now as a certified John Maxwell Team Member and Coach, Luke specializes in helping others gain clarity of mind and empowering them to take ownership of their place in life through character development and exploration of the arts of self-coaching and self-leadership. These are skills Luke has had to master during his own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and entrepreneurship journey.
Whether you are looking to gain clarity in your personal life, business life, or in your current mission and purpose, Luke will help you establish footing and help create a clear path so that you can reach your fullest potential.
“It is spiritless to think that you cannot attain to that which you have seen and heard the masters attain. The masters are men. You are also a man. If you think that you will be inferior in doing something, you will be on that road very soon.”
